Green Activity Hub
In 2021, HYPE Merseyside secured a lease on a vacant building in Central Park – Liscard.
Local neglected places, while frequently having a negative impact on the environment and the surrounding community, are also part of our cultural heritage. Our Vibrant Parks priority is to draw attention to the importance of these spaces and maximise their full potential.
Following the approval from the Wirral Council, we have been actively working to transform the empty building in Central Park into a vibrant place.
We aim to creatively repurpose existing structures to provide enriching programmes to the local youth and the broad community. The Green Activity Hub in Central Park will promote community cohesion through the following projects:
- Community Gardening
- Youth Clubs
- Community Cycle Club
- Breakfast Clubs
- Social Supermarket
- Holiday Clubs
- Eco-schools
- Community Social Action
- Health and Well-being Workshops
- Volunteer Programme
After extensive planning, removal of overgrowth, planting, and repair of deteriorated structures, the gardens are blooming once again for the launch of our Vibrant site. We are excited to bring a host of benefits to the community, local youth and the environment.
